The numbers
At a glance
EWG's LinkedIn page reached 895 followers in August, up 1.70% versus July, with consistent, gradual growth across the month. The team should continue to invite contacts to follow the page each month to maintain this growth. [Action to be shared with the team]

The page generated 3,954 impressions during August, down 52.44% compared with the previous period. August was a quieter month for EWG in terms of reach overall, which isn't unusual as LinkedIn activity typically dips during the summer holiday period. The top performing post by impressions was "Good governance might happen behind the scenes, but its impact is felt across everything we do," which gained 1,989 impressions followed by the API data insight post at 208 impressions and the Digital Jersey Tech Awards sponsorship announcement at 143 impressions. This confirms that content around trust, governance and people continues to be a strong pillar for EWG. It's also worth noting the team published 9 posts in August. Our aim is 12, with 3 technical posts. In September it would be useful if the team can focus on providing us with this technical content.

Reactions, comments and shares all dropped during August which again is likely due to the summer break and a quieter period on LinkedIn. The top performing post based on interactions was again the governance post, which gained 56 reactions, 14 comments, 85 clicks and 156 total interactions, reinforcing that governance, alongside people-led, content is what resonates most strongly with EWG's audience. It's encouraging to see this post driving both conversation (comments) and click-throughs, but the team should continue to prioritise engaging with the page's posts to help sustain momentum after a strong post like this one. In September, we will continue with the content mix that's proven to work with governance and people-led posts, platform benefit posts, Tech Awards content, and practical service posts. We'd expect reach to pick performance back up into September as LinkedIn activity returns to normal following the summer holidays. We are also hoping to receive more technical content from Johnny to hit the full 12 posts planned for September.
